Follow-up activities

While exposure of the general population to 4-VCH is not of concern at current levels, this substance is considered to have a health effect of concern on the basis of carcinogenicity. Therefore, there may be a concern for human health if exposures were to increase. Follow-up activities may involve including the substance in future information gathering initiatives, such as a mandatory survey under section 71 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999). Stakeholders would be given advance notice of any planned information gathering.
